This slimline 5 Amp power supply provides up to 80W of power, still plenty of grunt for many smaller Electroplating Kits. It is an ideal power supply for our 4, 10 & 20 Litre size Electroplating and Electroforming Kits. It is also an ideal for our Gold Plating Kits. (NOTE; If you are purchasing a 30 Litre Kit or larger, please consider the upgraded 40 Amp Power Supply. This will ensure you have enough current (amps) available).
This unit is able to provide a constant Volts or constant Current (amps) which allows total control of critical ampere delivery which is a must for electroplating and or electroforming. Simply select your power range, then adjust the controls to obtain your desired outputs. It has a variable output and current from 0 to 5A. Available are 0-16V @ 0-5A, 0-27VDC @ 0-3A, and 0-36V @ 0-2.2A. Output voltage and current are displayed on large, easily read seven segment LED displays. Output is provided via banana sockets which will accept insulated banana plugs. Includes banana to alligator clamp leads. Incredibly compact in size and light, weighing only 1 kg.
The amount of current (amps) required for electroplating is determined by the total amount of surface area that is in the plating bath. Larger Kit sizes (eg. 30 litres and above) allow more surface area to be plated at one time and therefore more current (amps) are required. This high powered dual controlled switchmode power supply will deliver up to 40 amps which is ideal for our larger Kits. This unit is able to provide a constant Volts or constant Current (amps) which allows total control of critical ampere delivery which is a must for electroplating and or electroforming. It has a variable output voltage from 0 to 15VDC and variable current from 0 to 40A. It features overload, short circuit, over temperature and tracking over voltage protected. Output voltage and current are displayed on large, easily read seven segment LED displays and incorporates an intelligent fan control program that checks the fan at power on and adapts the right speed to ensure a quiet and efficient operation. The maximum current output is 40 amperes continuous. Incredibly light, weighing only 2.9Kgs. Includes mains power cable and positive and negative power cables.
JPK Hard Gold 1 litre Kit (4gm/litre)
$1,820.00 Inc Gst
Complete 1 Litre JPK Hard Gold Kit. JPK Hard Gold Plating Kit which includes all items necessary to successfully conduct your own commercial quality hard gold electroplating. This kit contains a 1 litre bottle of JPK Hard Gold Plating working solution with a gold concentrate at 4 grams of gold per litre. (NOTE: Other working solution sizes and gold concentrations are available on request, please forward an enquiry through our “Contact Us” link).
JPK Hard Gold process is a cobalt hardened acid gold electrolyte system which produces high quality gold coatings of 99.0% purity. It creates a hard mirror bright gold deposit of approximately 20-22 Karat to any desirable practical thickness.
JPK Hard Gold as it is called, is what is referred to as “hard gold” which is essentially completely different from our other gold plating options Jane Gold – 18ct, 24ct or Rose Gold, which are all what is referred to as “soft gold”. JPK Hard Gold is designed for high wear situations and is generally what is plated onto professional jewellery items such as rings, bracelets, chains, watches etc.
JPK Hard Gold requires a minimum number of grams of gold concentration per 1-litre working solution, at all times, to ensure it will plate proficiently. The recommended base is a minimum of 2 to 3 grams per litre. If your gold content drops below this amount, your plating results may be affected. Once this happens, it will require a top up of gold concentration to be added to your working solution. Contact us to discuss the requirements.
It also includes a slimline 5 Amp power supply which is ideal for any form of electroplating, importantly it’s ideally designed for our JPK Hard Gold Plating Kits. This is the ultimate power source for technicians and hobbyists without much space on their workbench. It has all the features of an exceptionally accurate power source, in a lightweight case.

About Us
The Jane Kits story began when John, a vintage motorbike restorer realised that it would be much more convenient and economical if he was able to plate his own parts in the home workshop. So John decided to source and create his own plating kit and hence Jane Kits was born. John went on to receive numerous awards for his meticulously restored bikes with parts plated using his ingenious new kit.
