250 ml bottle of Olive Drab, a liquid concentrate that is added to water (de-ionised, distilled or demineralised) to produce hard olive drab chromate coatings on electroplated zinc, acid sulfate and cyanide cadmium. No addition of nitric acid is required. The bath is stable, has a long life, and is easy to control. Coatings produced have uniform color. Olive Drab coatings provide maximum corrosion resistance as well as an excellent base for organic finishes.
The make-up for a 1 litre working solution is 75 ml of Olive Drab to 925 ml of water. Treatment baths made from Ceramic crock, Type 316 Stainless Steel, Koroseal, PVC, polyethylene or polypropylene.
1. Zinc or cadmium plate.
2. Cold water rinse.
3. Metex IT pre-activation.
4. Cold water rinse.
5. Olive Drab for 30 to 90 seconds at 24 to 32°C
6. Cold water rinse.
7. Warm water rinse, 49°C maximum
8. Dry temperature, 60°C maximum

The Jane Kits story began when John, a vintage motorbike restorer realised that it would be much more convenient and economical if he was able to plate his own parts in the home workshop. So John decided to source and create his own plating kit and hence Jane Kits was born. John went on to receive numerous awards for his meticulously restored bikes with parts plated using his ingenious new kit.
